The Central Norfolk Methodist Circuit Mission Statement
Our mission is to be the people of God in our churches and wider communities:
- listening, caring, serving and sharing;
- kind and respectful;
- inclusive and welcoming,
so that by some means, all may have the opportunity to encounter the living God.
We will seek to do this by:
- offering effective pastoral care to those who would welcome the support we give, whether they be people of faith or not.
- looking for individual opportunities to serve others within the communities in which we live.
- sharing the love of God with others and being a good neighbour.
- receiving all whom we encounter without judgement, whilst sharing who we are and whose we are.
Our missional priorities are to:
- work towards the best pastoral care that we can offer.
- share the gospel message wherever we are.
- develop our understanding of justice, dignity and solidarity in line with the nationwide programme of the Methodist Church in Britain.
- manage our buildings away from closure, towards new missional projects.
We will endeavour to do all this whilst continuing to:
- support varied and enriching worship in each of the churches in the Circuit.
- value and care for our Ministers, volunteers and employees.
- offer training opportunities to equip those in positions of leadership.
- engage with our ecumenical partners.
- maintain our properties to the highest standards of safety and welcome.
- ensure that our fiscal resources are managed effectively and for the fulfilment of our mission.
- meet all the statutory requirements that have been placed on us as a registered charity.
